This evergreen bulbous perennial is commonly called the Peruvian Lily.
It has broad strappy tidy green leaves all year and is a real delight in late spring and early summer when it bears large deep blue, starry flowers packed onto a single stem about 50-80cm tall. The flowers stand well proud of the stems.
A stunning mass of blue. Easy to grow in full sun to light shade. Not at all fussy about soil.
