Meconopsis betonicifolia Alba
The white form of the Himalayan Poppy and has white flowers in spring.
Grow in a cool, shaded garden away from wind in a position that doesn’t dry out, avoiding tree roots. Plant in a well dug over lime free soil which has been enriched with humus, compost and if you can get it, some well matured farm manure. Woodland garden with deciduous trees above is good. They don't like mid-day summer sun but like some light in winter.
