Meconopsis betonicifolia - Himalayan Blue Poppy

Plant in a well dug over lime free soil which has been enriched with humus, compost and if you can get it, some well matured farm manure.
Grow in partially shaded position, avoiding tree roots and a position that doesn't dry out. Woodland garden with deciduous trees above is good. They don't like mid-day summer sun but like some light in winter.
