Elymus solandri
Native Wheatgrass, Blue Wheatgrass Also known as Anthosachne solandri. Attractive and interesting native grass with blue-green, loose, even a little floppy tufts of flat leaves. Naturally grows from coast to alpine conditions and can be found on rocky screes and cliff faces. Also grows in tussock land but as it’s very palatable is may be hard to spot there. The flower heads curl as they dry giving it more character. Best grown in free draining position and suitable for rock and scree gardens
