Meconopsis ‘Lingholm’
This poppy has stunning sky blue flowers similar to but larger that betonificolia. This variety is consistently blue and a drift of these in flower is never to be forgotten. Plant in a well dug over lime free soil which has been enriched with humus, compost and, if you can get it, some well matured farm manure. Grow in partially shaded position, avoiding tree roots and a position that doesn't dry out or receives hot summer sun. Woodland garden with deciduous trees shading a little in summer is good. They don't like mid-day summer sun but like some light in winter.
Good solid plants in 2.5 litre pots ready to come away in spring
