Primula Ballerina Buttercup
Sweetly fragrant, fully double, primrose yellow flowers.
Predominantly spring flowering, primulas are hardy and tolerant of a wide range of conditions, but they are descended from woodlanders and are happiest in neutral/slightly acid, humus-rich, well-drained soil which does not dry out in semi shade. Avoid hot dry conditions in summer.
Under cool conditions with sufficient moisture they can flower from autumn to spring with a few flowers in summer
Usually no seed is set so old blooms linger on the plant and can cause rot in the crown so dead-head regularly. Divide the plants every two years, or as needed, to keep them vigorous.
Fabulous primula to grow, quick to multiply and really pumps out the flowers. My favourite to grow.
