Eucryphia cordifolia
Native to South America, this beautiful evergreen tree has a narrow form and grows to about 3-5m in garden conditions. It smothers itself with fragrant white flowers in summer, the fluffy white stamens adding to its beauty. Its leaves are leathery and silver-green. Very hardy it prefers a free draining soil. Lovely as a speciment and can be grown as a taller hedge.
