Boronia heterophylla
Beautiful boronia with deliciously fragrant, brilliant rosy red-pink flowers in spring (late winter in some regions). The foliage is also very fragrant making this a wonderful shrub to grow. Native to Australia. It is naturally a fast growing, short lived shrub but to extend its life you can light prune it in spring. Grow them in a well draining soil which gets good rainfall and avoid strong winds and a position where they are sheltered from hard frost. If your soil dries out quickly, mulch them. Or just grow them in a pot so you can move it to a place where you can fully enjoy its flowering.
