Pachystegia rufa
This species of the Marlborough Daisy is now rare in the wild and differs from P insignis with having rusty reddish underside to the dark green thick leaves. Like its more common species it has white daisy flowers with golden eyes. It’s a superb plant for the drier, sunny parts of the garden with excellent drainage. Grows to about 50cm and the clumps gradually extend to cover and protect the soil. Evergreen. Another outstanding native plant
