Persian Ironwood Lovely ornamental small to medium sized tree making an all year round feature. New leaves emerge purple and can hold a purple tint in the green through summer. Autumn colour is outstanding in red, orange and yellow. Mature specimens have a mottled bark with white, grey and green patches and attractive winter form. Grow in full sun to part shade in moist, well drained, acid soil but tolerates alkaline and dry sites and occasional drought. Hardy to winds as well. Grows to about 5m Deciduous
