Correa alba
Native to Australia, the correa grows to about 1.5m high and wide and has white, four petaled flowers in winter and spring. Unlike it’s other correas relatives it’s flowers are upright. Very hardy, it is evergreen and, as it grows in sandy or rocky coastal areas in its native habitat is a very useful plant in such growing conditions in NZ. The correa are a very useful species as they can cope with open shade to part shade. The tough leaved and a grey green and underside are felted grey. Lovely shrub
